What Are The Clippers Cooking?
New logos. New stadiums. Are The Clips Looking to be Kings of Cool?
First of all, let me thank you reading this hear blog. I’m approaching three months doing this and even though I RARELY promote this thing, the fact people find and read my attempts of blending comedy with factual reporting warms my heart. Just The Sandwich started off with showing myself and others I still got text chops and not to overlook what I can do as a talent. And truthfully, in a lot of ways, it reminds me of the Los Angeles Clippers.
A team that’s been around so long it should have its own history, “The Clips” have been marred with either mediocrity or just existing in the same space as the premier brand in the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers. The Clippers are basically the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, or the New York Mets of the NBA. Lakers fans hate them while saying they are “irrelevant” (can’t be both, brothers and sisters). When the team makes headlines it’s typically for all the wrong reasons. Tickets are dirt cheap but historically felt like a case of “you get what you pay for.” It was a mess. When Steve Ballmer bought the team (as for how, that’s an entire story onto itself), he’s been working piece by piece in order to give The Clippers some shine.
