On a cold January evening, the country huddled around the closest screen with Facebook access to watch the reveal of who was going to be inducted in 2023 Baseball Hall of Fame Class alongside manager Jim Leyland. To me the induction announcements are like one of two times were every lapsed fan comes out of the woodwork. The other, The World Series, kind of makes sense because anyone who’s even been a passing fan of the sport wishes to win that tournament. The Hall of Fame spot brings out the absolute worst of fandom.
