If you knew me the years between 2022 and 2005, you’d know I had a one-track mind for a particular baseball quest. You know the one: Seeing all 30 Major League Baseball parks in the United States. TLDR: It was long, expensive, I’m glad I did it, but I’d probably never do it again.
Recently on my baseball culture podcast, “In The Booth with Flobo Boyce” (btw… if you haven’t already, you should REALLY check it out wherever you get your podcasts), I had the chance to sit with viral sensation Juan Mena. Juan — also a Mets fan, lezz gooo baby — recently completed his quest of seeing all 30. And while I’d admit my trip was really more of “this would be a cool experience,” Juan had a sense of gratitude about his journey that made me go back and think about whether or not I took enough time to smell the roses.
